DENVER (CBS4) – An ex-convict who police say shot at officers in two different traffic stops is now out of the hospital and in jail.

On Friday police captured Larry Lynn Gomez, 33, after a chase that ended with a crash near Abilene and Florida. Gomez tried to flee on foot and was shot by police. They arrested him and took him to a hospital.

Gomez was wanted after reportedly firing at officers during stops in Denver and Westminster.

He is expected in court sometime this week.
