Judge Rules Police Were Allowed To Stop Cars During Robber Search
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A federal judge says Aurora police did nothing wrong when they stopped 20 cars while searching for a bank robber.
A bank was robbed at Buckley and Illiff in June. Officers stopped nearly two dozen cars at a red light and ordered everyone inside out of the car at gunpoint. Some sat on the sidewalk for nearly two hours.
Police arrested Christian Paetsch, 45, from Centennial.
A federal judge ruled Friday he would not second guess the officers' decision and says the stops were not unreasonable or unconstitutional.
