GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) — A Grand Junction woman convicted of plotting to kill her husband by poisoning his whiskey has been sentenced to 24 years in prison.
Deone Graham received the maximum sentence Monday.
She pleaded guilty in August to solicitation to commit first-degree murder and inducing consumption of a controlled substance by fraudulent means. Court documents say Graham suspected her husband was cheating on her, and she wanted him dead so she could collect his retirement benefits.
