Denver Police To Show 'Powerful' Documentary To The Public

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Police Department would like the public to know about a film they will be showing about the service and dedication of law enforcement officers across the United States.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Modern City Entertainment teamed up to create the documentary called "Heroes Behind The Badge."

"It was created to show the sacrifices of the men and women of law enforcement who have put their lives on the line and survived, as well as those who have died in the line of duty," Denver police said in a statement.

The film will be shown on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Harkins Northfield 18 Theatre.

"I look forward to seeing this film. The sacrifices our officers make each day often goes unnoticed. It will change the way we look at the men and women in this profession," Denver Police Chief Robert White said.

Net proceeds will benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and the Denver Police Officers Foundation's Remembering Our Fallen Fund. Tickets are $20 and are available at the PPA, the Denver & Aurora branches of the Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Fed Credit Union, and the night of the show (Harkins Northfield 18 Theatres, 8300 E. Northfield Blvd near Stapleton).

The trailer can be seen at nleomf.org/officers/heroes-behind-the-badge.
