DURANGO, Colo. (CBS4)- Ground crews, helicopters and at least one bulldozer have been working to keep a small wildfire in southwestern Colorado from spreading toward houses at Vallecito Reservoir.
Fire officials said Wednesday the fire is between 40 and 60 acres and isn’t currently threatening any houses.
Two 20-person crews are fighting the fire and another crew has been ordered. Fire managers expect to have two helicopters making water drops on Wednesday.
In northern Colorado, Rocky Mountain National Park officials say crews are patrolling the Fern Lake Fire amid high winds but fire activity has remained low.
