DENVER (CBS4) – Denver Public Schools is the fastest growing urban district in the country.
The district has added 10,600 students since 2007. That’s an increase of 14.5 percent. It’s growing eight times faster than in the previous six years.
The strongest growth came in the middle schools and in far northeast Denver.
Superintendent Tom Boasberg says more families are choosing the schools because they are improving academically.
