DENVER (CBS4) – Only a few University of Denver students will get to be inside Magness Arena for the debate, but the university is holding a debate festival on campus for 5,000 students and faculty.
Local bands will be performing on stages Wednesday afternoon and the debate will be shown on big televisions.
On the CBS4 Morning News Tuesday DU Provost Gregg Kvistad talked about the work that went into hosting the debate.
“We’ve got all of those plates spinning and we don’t want any one of them to fall. I think so far, so good,” Kvistad said. “We have planned for this for over a year and everything is going very, very well.”
“Debate Fest” starts at 3 p.m. is open only to ticket holders.
