DENVER (CBS4) – The stage is almost set. It’s the first time the two presidential candidates will stand face to face and answer questions.
More than 50 million people are expected to watch the presidential debate held at the University of Denver, but only a select few will get to watch it live from inside Magness Arena.
Most people will watch the debate on TV at home, but at DU there’s another option. Big screen TVs will show the candidates squaring off right outside Magness Arena.
Inside the venue crews hope to spend all day Tuesday and Wednesday checking the lighting, sound system, acoustics and other technical areas to ensure there will be no problems come debate time. Teams of people from inspectors to firefighters were at the arena Monday making sure all safety standards are met.
