SEVERANCE, Colo. (CBS4)- Investigators are searching for the vandalism suspects who defaced a skate park and restrooms with vulgar graffiti.
The Weld County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $200 reward for the arrest and conviction of those who targeted a skate park and restrooms at Lakeview Park in Severance near Windsor in northern Colorado last week.
Deputies believe it took the suspects several hours to do all the damage that was discovered.
They painted profanities and vulgar slogans inside the restrooms, including the light fixtures, windows and toilet seats. They used a paint brush instead of spray paint on the inside and on the nearby skate park.
The damage totaled $11,000.
“Been here close to five years and I’ve seen little things that kids, you know, they’re kids, but I’ve never seen anything like this. You wouldn’t expect it in a place like this,” said City of Severance spokesman Randy Johnston.
