Reward Grows In Broadway Hit & Run Case, Police Study Car

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police are closely inspecting the car they believe was involved in a deadly hit-and-run last weekend.

Workers found the car partially hidden by some bushes near railroad tracks at Louisiana and Jason streets but there was no sign of the driver.

A man from a nearby business who didn't want to be identified told CBS4 about the damage he saw on the car.

"About a third of the windshield was missing and it was missing a headlight and it looked pretty severe," he said.

Laura McDermott, 32, died in the collision.

Her family and friends have added to the Crimestoppers reward that already existed, bringing it to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
