Widow Of Hijacked Flight Pilot Died Accidentally

DENVER (AP) — A Colorado coroner says the widow of a man who piloted a plane hijacked on 9/11 died accidentally last May.

Chief deputy coroner Carl Blesch said Friday that 52-year-old Sandy Dahl died in Jefferson County of acute heart failure due to the combined effects of alcohol and multiple prescription drugs.

Her husband, Capt. Jason Dahl, was the captain of United Flight 93.

The flight was traveling from Newark, N.J., to San Francisco and went down in Pennsylvania as passengers fought back.
