Polis, DeGette, Hickenlooper To Speak At DNC
DENVER (AP/CBS4) - Rep. Jared Polis is among the Coloradans scheduled to speak at the Democratic National Convention.
The congressman's staff says Polis will speak Tuesday evening on the unity and inclusiveness needed to move America forward. Polis says diversity is part of America's strength.
Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and Rep. Diana DeGette of Colorado also are among the scheduled speakers during the convention in Charlotte, N.C.
The Denver Post reported that the speakers also include a Denver attorney who served in the military in Iraq and Afghanistan, a Denver woman and a University of Colorado at Boulder student.
