Colorado Rapids Sign Midfielder Hendry Thomas

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — The Colorado Rapids have signed midfielder Hendry Thomas, who formerly played for Wigan Athletic in the English Premier League.

Rapids technical director Paul Bravo said Tuesday that Thomas has a vast amount of experience for somebody just 27 years old.

Thomas is a native of La Ceiba, Honduras, and played for Honduras at the 2010 World Cup and 2008 Olympics.
