FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) – The YouTube video of a Colorado State University student has gone viral after she broke her ankle hiking and recorded the rest of her ordeal with her cellphone.

Lexi De Forest went hiking on Vedauwoo Mountain near Laramie, Wyo. when she fell jumping over a rock. While her boyfriend went for help, she waited in the dark and started making a video.

Viewers can see her mangled ankle, but De Forest stays calm and even jokes around. De Forest’s boyfriend came back later with rescuers.

De Forest says she was a little worried waiting in the darkness, mostly about bears showing up, but they never did.
