MONUMENT, Colo. (CBS4) – A teenager in Monument was seriously injured after being struck by a train early Saturday morning.
The 17-year-old was found near the tracks and was rushed to the hospital. His condition has not been released.
The BNSF Railway railroad engineer stopped the train further down the tracks. It’s not known if he was aware he had struck a person.
Monument police are investigating whether a party in a barn near the tracks is somehow connected to the incident.
