Woman Pleads Guilty To Lying During Kenia Monge Investigation

DENVER (CBS4) - A woman who police say lied to them during the investigation into the disappearance of Kenia Monge last year has pleaded guilty.

Lynn Kimbrough with the Denver District Attorney's Office said Kerry Humphrey, 24, pleaded guilty to attempt to influence a public official, two counts of false reporting to authorities and perjury.

"The charges alleged that on two separate occasions, Humphrey intentionally lied to Denver police detectives who were investigating the disappearance of Monge and that her deceit was intended to alter the investigation," Kimbrough said in a statement.

Humphrey faces a sentence of 2,000 hours of community service and up to two years in jail. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 13.
