Victims' Family Members Outraged Teen Was Allegedly Driving Semi Truck

LIMON, Colo. (CBS4) - Family members of two women killed along Interstate 70 near Limon are outraged to learn a teenager reportedly was behind the wheel of the semi that hit them.

Shun Jones and her niece, Amanda Omo-Iyamu, were on the roadside fixing a flat when a semi pulling a livestock trailer crashed into them and killed them.

The Colorado State Patrol says Michel Martin originally told them he was driving but investigators say he lied and it was actually his 16-year-old son, Tristan Martin, who was behind the wheel. Another car allegedly picked Tristan up and took him to Wyoming.

Jones' son, LaMarcus Lockett II, was in the back of the car when his family members were hit. He says he wants severe punishment for both.

"I'm mad, the whole family is mad, and that's why I want justice today," Lockett II said.

Mitchell Martin appeared in court Monday morning. He is facing one count of false reporting. Tristan Martin is accused of leaving the scene of an accident and careless driving resulting in death.
