AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora have arrested two men suspected of shooting a pastor last week.
Christian Venegas-Silva and Ricardo Telles, both of Aurora, have been arrested and were being held for attempted first degree murder and attempted aggravated robbery.
Police said they received several tips after CBS4 News reported the incident and released surveillance footage of the crime occuring. The tips led police to the suspects.
At about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, officers were doing surveillance at an address in Aurora when they spotted Venegas-Silva, 19, and arrested him.
Officers spent the rest of the night during surveillance at another address in Aurora. At about 8 a.m. Wednesday officers spotted Telles, 24, and arrested him.
The pastor was shot on July 4 in the 1500 block of Nome Street. The pastor suffered non-life threatening injuries.
