Woman Accused Of Hit & Run Crash In Stolen Car

DENVER (CBS4) - A woman accused of stealing a car from a gas station and being involved in a hit-and-run crash has been formally charged.

Breanna Ocana, 24, has been charged with aggravated motor vehicle theft, duty to report an accident, and driving under revocation.

Police believe Ocana stole a car from a gas station in the 1000 block of Federal Boulevard while the victim was inside paying for gas.

"The charges further allege Ocana caused an accident near Santa Fe and Alameda Avenue, and then left the scene of the crash in a cab," Lynn Kimbrough from the Denver District Attorney's Office said in a statement. "The cab dropped her back at the scene of the car theft, where she was arrested."

Ocana out of jail on a $5,000 bond.
