DENVER (CBS4) – A strong series of thunderstorms that passed over the Denver metro area Wednesday night and into Thursday morning caused major problems for emergency crews and even had road crews breaking out the snowplows.
Hail fell on the street in the south and southwestern part of the metro area, shredding leaves off trees and causing damage to gardens.
In Lakewood at Wadsworth and Hampden there was still hail on the side of the road after daybreak.
Officials with the Colorado Department of Transportation haven’t said how many plows were out on the street, but a CBS4 crew spotted a plow at Hampden and Sheridan clearing hail off the streets.
