SIMLA, Colo. (CBS4)- At least three homes were damaged from tornadoes near the small town of Simla Thursday evening.
One person was hurt in the storm when vehicle glass was broken by golf ball sized hail.
Another man was home with his two grandchildren when the front portion of his house was ripped off, presumably by a tornado.
Simla is located between Colorado Springs and Limon on Highway 24 in Elbert County.
That area was included in a tornado warning on Thursday evening.
All the tornadoes confirmed touched down at about 7 p.m.
Eastbound Hwy 24 was closed in Calhan at 8:30 p.m. Thursday because of severe weather. It reopened 20 minutes later.
