Monument Police Search For Enticement Of Child Suspect

MONUMENT, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Monument are investigating a report of an enticement of a child which happened on Thursday.

The incident happened at about 6 p.m. Thursday in the area of Mt. Herman Road and Mitchell Avenue.

Police believe an adult male in a pickup truck approached a juvenile that was walking down the road and tried to entice the juvenile into the vehicle.

The juvenile ran away from the scene and the suspect drove away without further incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-10 with a thin build, 40-45 years old with short balding black hair, hazel eyes and speaks in a raspy voice.

The vehicle driven by the suspect is possibly a newer model Chevrolet pickup with a possible Colorado license plate 44H-2X3. Distinguishing characteristics of the vehicle include tan leather seats and barb wire stickers running down both sides of the front window.
