COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – Nearly 200 soldiers based at Fort Carson are set to return home Monday after a yearlong deployment to Afghanistan.
The post says the soldiers are part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division and were deployed last May and June to work alongside Afghan security forces.
A welcome home ceremony at Fort Carson is planned for 10 a.m. Monday.
