DENVER (CBS4) – Denver police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman.

Sonny Jackson with Denver police said officers responded to a call of an unconscious woman in the 300 block of South Bryant Street at 7:36 a.m. on Saturday.

“When Police arrived on scene they found an unresponsive female inside the residence,” Jackson said in a statement. “She appeared to have to wounds to her body. She was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Jackson said homicide detectives are investigating.

The cause of death and the victim’s identity haven’t been released.
