LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) – South Santa Fe Drive in Littleton had to be closed in both directions near Mineral Avenue Tuesday afternoon after a bomb threat to a light rail train.
The Regional Transportation District took passengers off the train at the Mineral Avenue light rail station. The passengers were put on another train and the threatened train was moved to another track. Service resumed as normal after the switch.
Bomb sniffing dogs were called out to search the train.
It’s not clear how the threat was made.
South Santa Fe Drive was reopened shortly after 4 p.m.
