AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – Aurora police announced there will be no charges against any officers involved in the death of Juan Contreras.
Police shot Contreras in a grocery store parking lot last July.
An officer set up a meeting with Contreras after he tried to extort money from an elderly woman who had lost her keys in that lot. When Contreras reached for a knife, an officer shot him.
A grand jury investigated and found no cause to file any charges against the officer.
