DENVER (AP) – Two Mega Millions tickets sold in Colorado will bring a rich payday, even though the state again missed out on the jackpot.
Colorado Lottery officials announced Saturday that a ticket worth $1 million was sold in Denver, and another worth $250,000 was sold in Centennial.
The winners’ names were not immediately released.
Colorado has not had a Mega Million jackpot winner since joining the game in 2010.
In Friday’s record $640 million drawing, three tickets hit the jackpot. They were sold in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland. Each winning ticket was expected to be worth more than $213 million before taxes.
