I-25 Near Denver To Close For Bridge Demolition
DENVER (AP) -- Highway officials say Interstate 25 near downtown Denver will be closed in both directions Saturday night and Sunday night to allow crews to demolish part of an overpass.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says one lane of both northbound and southbound I-25 will close between Interstate 70 and Speer Boulevard at 7 p.m. Saturday, with the second lane closing at 9 p.m. The interstate and the 15th Street Bridge, which is being demolished, will reopen at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The same schedule is in place for Sunday night, but the roadways are expected to be open by 5 a.m. Monday.
CDOT plans to demolish the rest of the 15th Street Bridge later this year.
