Castle Rock Police Warn Women About Mysterious Stalker

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Castle Rock are warning women to watch out for a mysterious stalker.

Three women have reported similar cases since mid-January. Police said the man follows the women in a dark-colored mini-van with Arizona license plates.

In each incident, a man has approached the women and tried to get them into his van. He has offered to pay the women for sex.

All of the women were approached within a few blocks of the Philip S. Miller Library.

Police found the van over the weekend, but are still searching for the suspect. They believe the suspect has only been in the area for a short time.

"This is more of a transient neighborhood that this occured in. So these people may or may not be in the area long. From what we've been able to determine now they've been in the area a few months," said Castle Rock Police spokesman Tim Ratcliff.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s with a shaved head.

No one has been hurt in the encounters but police worry the suspect could become aggressive.
