DENVER (CBS4) – A Denver man has been sentenced to 88 years to life in prison for sexually assaulting three of his children.

David Tarver, 51, was found guilty of multiple counts of sexual assault on a child, sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, sexual assault on a child, and pattern of abuse.

“Tarver sexually assaulted at least three of his children over the course of many years, dating back to the late 1980s,” Lynn Kimbrough with the Denver District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.

The victims reported the alleged incidents after Tarver was arrested in January 2010, in Wyoming for sexually assaulting a grandchild.
