DENVER (CBS4) – The American Diabetes Association EXPO is coming up next weekend and CBS4 is once again a proud sponsor.

It’s important to bring awareness to the number of people living with the disease. Currently 25.8 million people in the U.S. have diabetes. That includes more than 300,000 Coloradans. Another 79 million people are pre-diabetic.

Dr. Michael McDermott with the American Diabetes Association stopped by CBS4 studios to talk about the expo and the disease. Watch his interview in the video below.
