Boulder Police Search For Credit Card Thief

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Boulder are looking for a woman who stole a purse and credit cards last month.

The theft happened Jan. 16 at the Walrus, 1911 11th Street. A woman told police that she was playing pool with friends when an unknown woman began to talk to the group in an effort to befriend them.

The suspect told the group her name was "Susan."

"Susan" spent time playing pool with the victim and her friends. The woman realized her purse was gone when she was leaving the bar. She said she had left it on one of the pool tables for a short period of time. "Susan" was also gone.

Several credit cards were in the purse and the suspect tried to use them at a number of stores. The suspect was able to buy liquor at North Boulder Liquors with one of the cards, but other attempted transactions at other stores failed.

The suspect, known as "Susan," is seen in surveillance photos from North Boulder Liquors. Police are hoping someone recognizes the suspect.

Tips can also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at crimeshurt.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
