Air Force Academy's Character Symposium Under Way

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) -- The Air Force Academy's National Character and Leadership Symposium is under way at the school in Colorado Springs.

The two-day event started Thursday. Speakers include former presidential candidate Ross Perot, Medal of Honor recipient Army Sgt. 1st Class Leroy Petry and adventurer Aron Ralston, subject of the movie, "127 Hours."

The theme for the event is "Walk the Walk: Leaders in Ethical Action." It was chosen by Air Force Academy cadets.

This is the 19th running of the annual symposium.
