DENVER (CBS4) – A dog rescued from a frozen lake is still waiting for its owners.
On Friday firefighters rescued the dog from Berkley Lake. Copter4 was over the scene as a firefighter swam through the icy waters to get the dog out.
The dog, who rescuers nicknamed “Iceman,” is recovering at the Denver Animal Shelter. The owner has yet to come forward.
The shelter doesn’t think the dog is a stray because it was recently groomed and had on a collar.
Experts say it’s important to keep a close eye on pets.
The staff at the shelter says the dog is doing well considering what he’s been through.
Those who are interested in adopting Iceman can inquire about him online at the Denver Animal Shelter, denveranimalshelter.
