Experts Suggest Talking Finance On Valentine's Day

DENVER (CBS4) - On this Valentine's Day many people are weighing in about the secrets to lasting love, and while it's not very romantic, financial experts say marriages are most successful when couples talk about money.

4 On Your Side Money Saver Suzanne McCarroll went to the flower and candy department at King Soopers to find out what some Coloradans think about the idea of bringing up finances on Valentine's Day.

To take a financial quiz this Valentine's Day with your loved one, visit the National Endowment of Financial Education website.

"Flowers are nice, chocolate is tasty, but (financial experts) say you should pledge your love, look into one another's eyes, and then focus on money issues," McCarroll said.
