Occupy Protester Pleads Guilty To Arson
DENVER (CBS4)- An Occupy Denver protester has pleaded guilty to arson charges in connection with a fire at Civic Center Park in December.
Michael Clapper, 22, pleaded guilty to fourth degree arson on Friday.
Clapper was accused of setting fire to a structure and other debris that was part of an Occupy Denver protest on Dec. 19 in Civic Center Park. Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey claims that Clapper endangered people who were nearby those structures.
Clapper has remained in custody since the incident. He is scheduled to appear in Denver District Court on March 16 at 8:30 a.m. for sentencing.
