DENVER (CBS4) – The snowstorm that started on Feb. 2 and lasted into Feb. 4 on the Front Range and on the Eastern Plains was one for the February record books.
The storm broke not one, but three snowfall records!
The first was a record snowfall for the date at 12.5 inches.
The second was for the all time daily snowfall record for February. The 24 our total for Friday was 12.5 inches. The old record was 9.5 inches.
The third record was the three-day storm total in February. That number comes in at 15.9 inches at DIA. The old record was 14.1 inches that occurred in 1912.
