RIFLE, Colo. (AP) – Rifle police say a body found the Colorado River earlier this week is that of a Houston man who went missing in October.

Police Friday say the Bill Browne’s body was discovered Tuesday near the Rifle boat ramp, not far from where he fell into the river when his boat hit an overpass pillar Oct. 14. Browne had been fishing with friends when he went missing.

Rescuers in October suspended the search for Browne after several days of searching with equipment that include ultrasound, an underwater camera, divers and dogs.
