Top 5 Things To Do On A Snow Day In Denver

As beautiful as the winter months are in Colorado, it can get quite boring getting stuck inside. Well have no fear, because there are tons of fun indoor activities and snow-friendly ways to spend that surprise day off from work, just make sure you can get there safely.

What could be more fun on a snow day than to enjoy a good old-fashioned amusement park? Especially when the park is indoors, and its less expensive then taking the family to a movie. Lollipark Park may be best for the younger kids. It has been around under a few different names, but for more than 30 years it has provided the perfect way to enjoy some family friendly fun on a surprise day off. With all sorts of rides, games and food, this is a great place to take your kids on their snow day.

When its cold and snowy out, what could be more fun than playing a game of golf? Indoor, glow-in-the-dark, putt-putt, that is. Located near Colorado Mills Mall, you enjoy this fun black-light-golf-extravaganza when it's freezing outside. It is a neon escape from the snow day outside, plus all admission comes with a fun glow-in-the-dark bracelet.

Snooze is quickly becoming the best place for pancakes in Denver. When it is cold and snowy, make trek to enjoy pancakes and hot chocolate with the kids. The hot chocolate, topped with cinnamon and whipped cream is served piping hot. It is the perfect way start a snow day with the family.

Big Bear Ice Arena offers great ice skating for a day of family fun. It has open skate, ice hockey, classes and broomball. They even have a winter figure skating competition and yoga for skaters.

Your local library has thousands of different stories to get lost in, subjects to study, and lessons to learn. Many libraries have activities and classes, music and movies. Today's library is so much more than the Dewey Decimal System, and a great way to spend a snow day.
