Colorado Chase Ends In Wyoming Crash, Arrest
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming state troopers arrested a man who sped away from Colorado patrolmen before crashing into a van carrying a family of eight on Interstate 25 in Cheyenne. None of the family members was seriously hurt.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol said Tuesday the man demanded that troopers shoot him after the crash at the Wyoming Port of Entry. Officers tackled the man, whose name was not immediately released.
The Patrol said the man fled Colorado troopers after a road rage incident south of the state line. The man's Dodge Neon went down an embankment after the collision in Cheyenne, and the man got out, shouting he had a gun and demanding that troopers shoot him.
The man, who didn't have a gun, was treated for minor injuries.
Charges were pending.
