SILVERTON, Colo. (CBS4) – A skier died after falling and sliding about 1,500 feet at the Silverton Mountain Ski Resort.

Sydney Owens, 25, of Denver died Saturday. The accident occurred on the Riff run during a guided ski tour by Silverton Mountain employees.

Emergency personnel arrived immediately but they were unable to revive Owens.
