GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4) – A Greeley West High School teacher accused of hitting a student will soon be back in class.

The school district has decided to reinstate teacher and basketball coach Bill Whitehead. He had been on administrative leave for 9 months with back pay.

The board president says Whitehead did violate district policy, but also said there is more to the story.

The president also took into account Whitehead’s history as a teacher.
