Air Force Academy Airman Receives Bronze Star

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (CBS4)- An airman who attended the Air Force Academy has been selected to receive the Bronze Star.

Major Brent McGuire earned the medal for his actions as commander of the 451st Security Forces Squadron during his deployment to Afghanistan last year.

Under hostile fire, McGuire's flying teams secured more than 220 flying missions in three countries. They protected more than 6,000 passengers.
