Amtrak Train Car Derails Near Holly

HOLLY, Colo. (CBS4)- An Amtrak train car derailed near Holly Tuesday night which delayed the train getting to Chicago by about 11 hours.

The train car derailed one set of wheels at about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday. The train stopped and engineers cut away from that car. The train was reassembled and resumed its route.

The train was en route from Albuquerque to Chicago when it derailed. Some passengers bound for Kansas City or Topeka were transported by chartered buses to their final destination.

Passengers bound for Chicago were expected to arrive 11 hours late.
