Denver Police Investigate Homicide On Robins Drive

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police would like the public's gathering more information in a homicide that happened on Friday afternoon.

Sonny Jackson with Denver police said at 12:07 p.m. officers received a call of shots fired in the 13000 block of Robins Drive.

"When officers arrived at that location they found a crime scene, but no victim. Through the investigation it was learned there was altercation between several parties at that location," Jackson said in a statement.

Jackson said that during the fight shots were fired and man was struck in the neck.

"He was transported to Children's Hospital by a private vehicle where he was later pronounced dead," Jackson said.

Jackson said Aurora police officers detained two people a few blocks away from the hospital. Denver police also detained several people from the Robins address for questioning.

No arrests have been made, but the death is being investigated as a homicide.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
