Interstate 70 Tunnel Traffic Up Over Thanksgiving
SILVERTHORNE, Colo. (AP) - More people traveled Interstate 70 west of Denver over the Thanksgiving holiday this year than last year, but no records were broken.
The Colorado Department of Transportation says more than 170,000 vehicles traveled through the tunnels over the five-day holiday period. That's about 8,000 more than last year.
The record for the Thanksgiving weekend is more than 200,000 set in 2006.
