Colorado Man Injured In Accidental Shooting In Nebraska
MINITARE, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say a Colorado man is hospitalized after an accidental shooting at a house near Minatare in western Nebraska.
The Scotts Bluff County sheriff's office says 26-year-old Jas White of Loveland was injured on Sunday after he and some friends went target shooting with handguns.
Officials say they returned to the house and a gun one the men was holding accidentally went off, hitting White in the chest.
Sheriff Mark Overman says evidence and statements by the men support that the shooting was an accident.
White remains in serious condition at a Scotts Bluff hospital.
