Backstage Manager Of ‘Lion King’ Has A Busy Job

From getting Pride Rock onstage to getting actors dressed as animals down from the ceilings, the manager behind the scenes of the Lion King stage production has a fast and furious job.

Ken Davis is the production stage manager, and he revealed in an interview with CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody that he needs “lots of patience, keeping the proper perspective and some good humor” to get the job done every night.

The goal is to “make sure the quality is there” and that the Lion King continues to be an eye opening fast, fun and exciting theatrical experience for the entire family.
