Forecasted Wind Could Make More Work For Fort Collins Storm Clean Up
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- Strong winds are forecast this weekend along the Front Range. It could create more work for the city still cleaning up after last week's snowstorm.
City workers in Fort Collins are still hauling away all the downed branches from the snowstorm last week and the week before.
Piles of branches remain on street corners and parking lots all over town.
The Fort Collins Streets Superintendent Larry Schneider is concerned the wind, which is forecast for gusts of up to 75 mph, could blow down additional branches. Some trees have limbs that are already broken and haven't fallen yet.
Schneider is also concerned that other debris flying through the air can be dangerous.
