Missing Hunter In Garfield County Found Alive

NEW CASTLE, Colo. (AP/CBS4) – A 65-year-old hunter missing in Garfield County was found alive on Monday.

The Garfield County sheriff’s office resumed the search for him Monday with help from a Colorado Army National Guard helicopter. Members of seven search and rescue teams as well as the Division of Wildlife and the sheriff’s office helped.

The man left camp near Meadow Lake early Saturday and hadn’t been seen since.

Authorities say the man is from the Silt/New Castle area but aren’t releasing his name.
